Pros:
- It has a very strong, robust build quality. This will ensure many years of trouble free normal use.
- The H10-13.4 Headset is very light, 16.5oz, and comfortable. It has noise canceling gel filled ear pads for extreme comfort and fit.
- The Microphone – M-7A high impedance, amplified, noise canceling microphone, is also of the highest quality available on the market. The fully adjustable and reversible boom ensures that the microphone stays in place and is always available where you want it, when you want it.
Note: The microphone can be used on either the right or left side depending on your preference.
Cons:
- The David Clark H10-13.4 only a single volume control to control the volume in both ears. Some would benefit from being able to control the volume in both ears independently.
- The overall volume some could find slightly low, especially in open cockpits. This though, does not affect your ability to communicate effectively and is more of an aesthetic concern.
Summary:
The super-soft, double-foam head pad, the gel-filled ear seals and reduced headband clamping force combine to create one of the most comfortable headsets on the market today. It has a great fit, is easy to clean and has a five year warranty.
The David Clark H10-13.4 Aviation Headset has a build quality and price that you might be surprised at, even from a manufacturer with the reputation and excellence of David Clark.
